This morning I woke up to a screen full of notifications from my Twitter account. I confess, I’m not that great with using Twitter for the everyday type things. I’m more of a re-tweeter. So I connected my Instagram to my twitter so that when I post a pic on Instagram, it shows up in my Twitter feed (I know some of you social media pros are probably rolling your eyes at me right now; I forgive you).
About a week ago, I posted a picture of two of my muses hanging out at Studio 54 and looking fabulous: Bianca Jagger and Andy Warhol. Bianca Jagger herself actually retweeted my tweet! Consequently, several of her followers liked the tweet. I stared at my iPhone screen in disbelief. It made me think about the whole six degrees of separation theory. You know the one that says that everyone and everything is six or fewer steps away, by way of introduction? “A friend of a friend of a friend” and so on. Six steps, max, gets you to anyone in the world. Now that there's Twitter, are there less steps? Things that make me go hmmm….
Anyway, wouldn’t it have been fun to dance at Studio 54?? That place has inspired several of my looks. Like this one sleeve rainbow dress and this little purple number. It's late. I’m going to bed now. With any luck, I’ll dream of dancing at Studio 54.
