I've had to learn to preserve and harness my energy. I used to come home from my day job and be SO exhausted. Too exhausted to cook or clean or do much of anything. Then recently, I realized that if I expect to start a business, I better stop being so tired all the damned time. I remembered back to a few years ago when I was commuting to work almost an hour each way, working 10-hour days, AND taking night classes until 10 o'clock at night. And I still managed to take care of myself back then. So I told myself to quit whining and get my act together. I started listening to productivity podcasts and studying books like "Getting Things Done" by David Allen (love his stuff). I eliminated time-wasters and distractions. Don't get me wrong...every once in awhile, a distraction can be nice. But not when I'm on my grind. What does this have to do with starting KDD? Everything. Until next time, keep on grinding!
